Google Meet Integration

Connect Google Meet to Revian to automatically sync your meeting recordings and transcripts. This integration works through your Google Workspace connection, pulling recordings from Google Drive where Meet stores them.

Requirements

To use the Google Meet integration, you need:

Google Workspace Business Starter and personal Gmail accounts do not include the Meet recording feature. Check with your admin if you are unsure about your plan.

Note: Google Meet recordings are stored in the organizer's Google Drive. Make sure your Drive integration is enabled to sync recordings.

Connecting Google Meet

Google Meet integration is part of the Google Workspace connection. To enable it:

  1. Go to Settings and select Integrations
  2. Connect Google Workspace if not already connected
  3. Ensure Google Drive access is enabled
  4. Verify that the Meet Recordings folder is included in your sync

Once configured, Revian automatically detects new recordings in your Meet Recordings folder and processes them for call intelligence.

What gets synced

Revian pulls the following from your Google Meet recordings:

Recordings are matched to contacts using attendee information from the linked Google Calendar event. The AI analyzes transcripts to provide summaries and insights.

Meeting detection from calendar

Revian uses your Google Calendar to identify which recordings belong to which deals and contacts. For best results:

When you record a meeting, Revian cross-references the calendar event to automatically tag the recording with relevant contacts and deals.

Enabling recording in Google Workspace

If recording is not available in your Google Meet, your admin needs to enable it:

  1. Admin opens Google Admin Console
  2. Navigate to Apps then Google Workspace then Google Meet
  3. Click Meet video settings
  4. Enable Recording for your organizational unit

Changes may take up to 24 hours to apply across your organization.

Troubleshooting

Recording not appearing in Revian

Google Meet recordings take time to process and save to Drive. Wait 30 to 60 minutes after the meeting ends. If the recording still does not appear, check that:

Transcript missing

Google generates transcripts automatically for recorded meetings, but this may not be available in all languages or regions. Check your Google Workspace settings to confirm transcript generation is enabled.

Recording appears but no contact match

This happens when attendees join without signing in or when their email does not match your CRM contacts. You can manually associate the recording from the call detail page in Revian.

Cannot start recording in Meet

Only the meeting organizer or a user with recording permissions can start recording. If you do not see the recording option, ask your Google Workspace admin to check your permissions.

Old recordings not syncing

Revian syncs recordings from the Meet Recordings folder in Drive. Very old recordings may have been moved or deleted based on your Drive storage policies. Check your Drive trash and storage quota.
