Slack Integration

Connect Slack to Revian to receive real-time notifications about your deals, calls, and tasks. Stay informed without constantly checking your CRM. You can receive alerts in channels for team visibility or as direct messages for personal updates.

Connecting Slack

To connect your Slack workspace:

  1. Go to Settings and select Integrations
  2. Find Slack and click Connect
  3. Select the Slack workspace to connect
  4. Review the permissions and click Allow
  5. Choose a default channel for team notifications

Once connected, you can customize which notifications you receive and where they are delivered.

Notification types

Revian can send the following notifications to Slack:

📈 Deal updates

  • Deal moved to a new stage
  • Deal marked as won or lost
  • Deal value changed
  • Deal assigned to you

📞 Call alerts

  • New call recording processed
  • Call summary available
  • Action items extracted from calls
  • Coaching insights ready

✓ Task reminders

  • Task due today
  • Task overdue
  • Task assigned to you
  • Scheduled follow-up reminders

🎯 Pipeline alerts

  • Deal stuck in stage too long
  • High-value deal at risk
  • Weekly pipeline summary
  • Quota progress updates

Channel vs direct message notifications

You can choose where each type of notification is delivered:

Channel notifications are best for team-wide updates. Configure a sales channel to receive won deals, pipeline alerts, and team-relevant updates. Everyone in the channel stays informed about important developments.

Direct message notifications are better for personal alerts. Task reminders, deals assigned to you, and coaching insights are sent privately to your Slack DMs so you do not miss anything relevant to your work.

Tip: Create a dedicated #sales-notifications channel for Revian updates. This keeps alerts organized and prevents them from getting lost in busy channels.

Slash commands

Revian adds helpful slash commands to your Slack workspace:

These commands return results directly in Slack, making it easy to check information without switching to the Revian app.

Customizing notification preferences

To customize your Slack notifications:

  1. Go to Settings then Notifications
  2. Select the Slack tab
  3. Toggle each notification type on or off
  4. Choose the delivery channel or DM for each type
  5. Set quiet hours if you want to pause notifications

Team admins can also set default notification preferences for the entire team, which individual users can then customize.

Troubleshooting

Not receiving notifications

Check that notifications are enabled in your Revian settings. Also verify that the Revian app is still installed in your Slack workspace. You may need to re-authorize if permissions changed.

Notifications going to wrong channel

Review your notification settings in Revian to verify the correct channel is selected for each notification type. You can change the default channel at any time.

Slash commands not working

Slash commands require the Revian app to be added to the channel where you are using them. Try adding Revian to the channel by typing @Revian and following the prompts.

Cannot connect Slack

Your Slack admin may have restricted third-party app installations. Ask your Slack administrator to approve Revian in the Slack App Directory settings.

Too many notifications

Reduce notification noise by customizing your preferences. Turn off less important alerts or consolidate them into a daily digest instead of real-time messages.
